What is Botox®?

Botox® Cosmetic is a purified, natural protein that works to relax the muscles in the face that cause wrinkles.
As a result, this can create a more smooth and youthful appearance.

What areas can Botox® treat?

Botox® is most commonly used to relieve forehead wrinkles, glabellar lines (lines between the eye brows), and crow’s feet.
Other areas Botox can be used, includes chin creases, neck lines, bunny lines, and eye brow lift.

How long does Botox® last?

3-4 months
Botox® diminishes gradually overtime, so there is no drastic change in your appearance.
To maintain your results, plan to get Botox® treatments every 3-4 months

When can I expect to see the results?

Normally it can take 5-7 days for theBotox® to set in.
However, it can take up to 2 weeks before the treated muscles become completely relaxed to see the results.

What can I expect during and after the treatment?

During the appointment, you will consult with Dr. Smoot about the results you want to achieve and the areas of concern.
Dr. Smoot will examine the anatomy of your face to determine the number of Botox® units required.
Botox® is injected into muscles and feels like a small pinprick sensation.
Some small red dots or bruising may occur after treatment, but should dissipate in a few hours.
There is no downtime after the procedure, so you may return to work or continue with your day.
