Dr. Mikinzie Smoot is a Licensed Naturopathic Doctor, who graduated from Bastyr University in Seattle, WA. Bastyr is one of the leading Universities in the U.S. specializing in natural health education. There she was immersed in extensive training and clinical rotations focusing on a variety of acute and chronic conditions.
Dr. Smoot is the owner, of Dr. Smoot Med Spa. She has experienced Naturopathic Medicine playing a critical role in helping patient's achieve optimal wellness by incorporating the medicines principles in understanding the bodies physiology, finding the root cause, removing obstacles to cure, and treating the whole person. She is passionate about helping her patient's accomplish their health goals, restore vitality, and provide awareness to unexplored health issues.
Dr. Smoot has received extensive training in Medical Aesthetic Injectables at the National Laser Institute located in Scottsdale, Arizona and Pacific Northwest Aesthetic Academy. She has experience and in depth knowledge with using different injectables such as Botox, Dermal Filler, and PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma). The aesthetic injectables can be used to help reduce fine lines, wrinkles, and work to provide a natural youthful appearance. Dr. Smoot's background in Naturopathic Medicine, provides a unique skill set and aesthetic eye. Her approach is to help you achieve your goals and concerns.
While studying the Naturopathic curriculum at Bastyr, Dr. Smoot focused on additional Physical Medicine training such as Neural Therapy, Cold Laser Therapy, Craniosacral Therapy, Visceral Manipulation, Muscle Energy Stretching, and Kinesio Taping. These modalities have become a successful and integral tool in treating an array of musculoskeletal, gastrointestinal, and neurological conditions.
Prior to Bastyr, Mikinzie received a B.S. in Nutrition Science at Oregon State University where she gained fundamental experience in nutrition counseling and a strong scholastic base in treatment methods for a variety of gastrointestinal conditions, nutritional deficiencies, and metabolic abnormalities. In addition, she had the experience of being a personal trainer and fitness instructor, where she developed different exercise programs for weight loss, muscle gain, and health maintenance.
Dr. Smoot also enjoys hiking, backpacking, backcountry skiing, camping, surfing, swimming, and traveling.
